Redneck Slang is published at https://www.redneckslang.com. It is a dictionary of rural Southern and Appalachian talk, written one word at a time. The pages do not list a company name or a street address. There is no phone number.

This page is the editorial contact point. The site does not run a public mailbox, so there is no email address to send. A missing word or a wrong meaning changes when that entry is updated. The date on the word page is the day the entry last changed.

Look up a word

Search the homepage when you already know the word. The box filters the list in your browser. The letters you type are not saved as a note to the editor.

The homepage shows eight words for each letter. Every word that starts with that letter sits on its own letter page, linked from the dictionary. Open a word page for the pronunciation in plain letters, the short meaning, a sentence you could say on a porch, and a short note on where that talk came from. That page is the record. There is no separate reply waiting behind it.

What this page will not take

The dictionary does not sell goods or take payments. There is no comment form and no newsletter. Do not put a name or an email address in the search box. Nothing on the site stores that.

A plain-text list of the first 100 words, in alphabetical order, is at https://www.redneckslang.com/llms.txt. Notes on when the dictionary is the right tool, and which URLs to open, are at https://www.redneckslang.com/agents.md. The sitemap at https://www.redneckslang.com/sitemap.xml lists every URL on the site.
